Tales for Grown-Ups from Büyükada (Prince Islands)…

The profession of my grand father Haydar, who was the son of Rengigül Hanım, was written as “Cinema Owner” in his marriage certificate. He thought that people needed to be entertained in the early twenties, so he became the first cinema owner in the city where he lived, and supported music companies, artists and musicians.

After several exiles and wars, the Ottoman Empire had been dissolved, its land had been narrowed and the Republic had been proclaimed. People needed to entertain themselves, laugh, dress well, have nice experiences. They became the master tailoring cutters of life patiently by listening to tales and watching movies, and handed down us the true life experiences like a tale.

In Istanbul, Büyükada (Prinkipos - Prince Islands), they met Lokum Doll (Prince Uçi). They arrived at the Cinema Prince’s Island by Humanity Sailboat. On the Cinema Prince’s Island, they met Wise Prince, Cherry-Blossom Princess and Mapple Grandpa.

One of the magnets of Humanity Map was sending the ones that did evil to the "spirits" to an island submerged under the sea (Vordonisi) near Büyükada (Prince Islands). That island was called “Maturity Island”. Finding the “Humanity Map” was a quest that was hard but also exciting and hopeful. And didn‘t Sizzle Princess and Rhubarb Prince hear about their efforts to build “Humanity Harbors”? And…
